    If you look at the graph, it truly appears independent of the president (how could Bush and Clinton increase jobs and both lose just as many -- it's the same graph?) and depends on external triggers.

      ...don't affect the economy all that much. But the political narrative doesn't look at things this way.

      As for the graphs not showing much, you're mistaken in arguing that during the Clinton and Cheney-Bush administrations, job creation and loss were the same. Look at those graphs again.
