    You can register when you get your drivers license.
    But, if you have waited until now, you may be too late.  Texas registration was to end Oct 5 - 30 days before the election.

    If you are still registered where you came from, you could chec, into absentee voting there. And since you really are not totally relocated, in terms of having all the official paperwork, well, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

      Since the 5th is a Sunday, they moved the last day to tomorrow, the 6th.  I don't live in Plano. I live near Belt Line and Preston, so I'm west of Plano, in Dallas.  I intend to get my driver's license as soon as the Plano office opens in the morning.  I just need to know where to go from there.

      THANK YOU to those of you who responded.  I just can't NOT vote.  It's not an option for me.  I'm one who believes every vote DOES count.
