    of 1, children can no longer hear distinctions between phonemes that aren't in their native language. This implies that spiritual language abilities are dependent on the speakers brain. That, then of course, begs the question of why god can't give the speaker the power to make new sounds.

    I suppose the answer from a believer would be that the human is weak. God is all powerful though, so why can't he fix the weakness in a true believer?

    Oh yeah, I forgot, god works in mysterious ways.
