    I hope you're right. I'm still not sure the Senate will ultimately do it even if the Republicans are no longer in charge, but I'm hopeful.

      gay marriages it seems logical...and the governor is committed to its passage...I think he will use his bully pulpit to get it done--plus he was senate minority leader as well so he knows the senate. I'm an optimist!

        but since when does that have any relationship to what actually happens in Albany?

        OK, I'm not that much of a cynic.  I'm hopeful, too, and I do agree that Paterson will push for it.
