...who would vote for Obama before this happened, but now is going to vote for McCain?

An example of when legislators actually passed a law for the benefit of GLBT people after an election would also be helpful.

and thousands of South GA residents(and other places I would suspect) who are homophobic to the core, but have grown up with Will Smith, Bill Cosby, Tiger Woods, and Colin Powell.  They can tolerate someone like O'Bama who transcends race, and yet may comfortably display hatred for the blacks that surround them. A lot of low info voters, who don't know who to blame for their economic woes, and are conflicted.  The focus on gays can drive them over the edge to vote for McCain and Republicans in general.  It's a long answer, but hey you asked.

Every law passed for the benefit of GLBT people is after an election.  If you were more specific in this I could answer.

          •  I was asking you to name one. (0+ / 0-)

            "Every" is not a name.

Silence is complicity.  Even for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

            •  From wikipedia- Civil Unions in New Hampsire (0+ / 0-)

"On April 4, 2007, the NH House passed a civil unions bill, HB437, with a vote of 243 to 129. The bill, if accepted into law, would imbue partners in same-sex civil unions with the same "rights, responsibilities and obligations" as heterosexual couples in marriages.[1] Lynch stated on April 19, 2007 that he would sign legislation granting civil unions to same-sex couples because he believes "...it is a matter of conscience, fairness and preventing discrimination."[4] On April 26, 2007, the NH Senate approved the civil unions bill 14-10 along political party lines.[5] On May 31, 2007, Governor John Lynch signed the civil unions bill into law,[6] making New Hampshire "...the first state to embrace same-sex unions without a court order or the threat of one."[5] The law took effect January 1, 2008.[6][7]".
              That's what you wanted?
I guess I still don't know what your point here is, but I wish you only the best.
