JEERS to having "Rock Me Like a Hurricane" stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

Could be worse.  Could be Barney songs.

    •  There's no one like you! I can't wait... (none)
      Funny story-

I'm in Thailand on business a few years ago (used to work for a tire manufacturer whose plant was in Bangkok) and had to rush to the airport to go to an assembly plant in Taiwan due to a product defect.  Anyway, I was there for a week and the only music I heard was local and I felt really foriegn.

I get into a cab and half way to the airport the cabbie changes stations on the radio.  The song was un-mistakeable.

I never hated and loved the Scorpions more than that day.

IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL.
IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL.
IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL.

IT'S A SMALL SMALL SMALL SMALL WORLD.

Second verse same as the first, except in German:

ES IST EIN KLEINE WELT, JA ES IST...

      •  german.. (none)
how does the German language make even that song sound creepy?

      •  bill here is a funny story about that song (4.00)
my mother's prom was held in Disneyland and CA tends to get pretty cold at night. the only place that was warm was the small world ride.  so she sat in that little train for hours, going round and round with that insipid song playing.  when ever we wanted to piss her off we would sing it at the top of our lungs and she would howl.

oh:  cheers to going to the Kerry rally in downtown Pittsburgh yesterday.  the line stretched 10+ blocks for hours.  i got to be about 20ft behind the stage.  what an inspiring night.  and came this close from shaking his hand.

cheers to being hit in the face with a women for Kerry t-shirt last night.  i was trying to take a picture of bon jovi on stage when it came flying.

        •  how close by was the woman who threw it? n/t (none)
          •  i have no idea the gender of the thrower (none)
it was someone on the stage who was about 25 feet away, they had knotted it so it would fly further.  the funny thing is that i was sticking my hand up to catch one earlier, but gave up and was going to take a picture when it hit me.

            here is my kerry photo
