  •  Sinclair Execs are setting policy, expect bailout (none)
The question is, if Sinclair does pull out all the stops for their guy and (god forbid) Bush does win, what exactly can chimpy do to protect them from the country's wrath?

THe company will die... whether that's now or later is TBD.
What's interesting is how/if Bush will protect the execs from the downfall. They're not worried about the company, they're worried about their own necks.

Meanwhile, I'm sure there was some insider buying going on before the press release that shot their stock back up.

    •  Reminds me of Enron (none)
Purpose:  to steal $10 Billion Calif. budget surplus, and give big chunks of it to Bush election campaign, and to wreck Dem governor (Davis, big war chest, eye on running for president).  Employees, stockholders screwed, a bit of carnage in the board room, but who cares?; Mission Accomplished.
    •  Management at individual stations should worry (none)
It is not an excuse that they were told to air what amounts to an illegal campaign contribution. If there are laws broken, they will be held responsible too.

They should keep this in mind before throwing the switch and breaking the law.
