  •  health care (0+ / 0-)

I was laid off last sept. and am in healthcare. (for 27 yrs!) i am now employed but my employer only pays for a porion and I had a horrid time getting coverage, not because I'm unhealthy but because when you are not part of a larger GROUP(as I have been for over 20 years) and have to get individual coverage and have had ANY health care issues AT ALL (even minor ones) they crawl up inside your A$$. At the end of the day, the policy I have costs $300/mo with a $1500 annual deductible. The perscription plan sux and it seems I'm paying twice: the premium and the scripts. I cried all the way home from the pharmacy. I'm contemplating dropping it because it is a hardship to pay the premiums AND the costs of the scripts. Not sure what McBush is whining about because the "$5000" credit wouldnt even come close to covering my actual yearly costs. I would love to be on Medical or Medicare. (not qualified for either because I'm too young and make "too much money" for medical. His tax credit would NOT pay for a family's coverage, which could be upwards of $12,000 per year. I work 2 jobs, six days a week and live paycheck to paycheck, and I'm supposed to consider myself one of the lucky ones? This is NOT the America I want to live in. I have considered moving to Canada or Israel. (seriously) I could go on and on but you've all heard it before. I totally support BO, but I have very little hope that anything will change on the health care thing for years to come.
