It's better for policy. It's better for America. We need good and inspired debate in this country.

I'm so sad at what has become of the Republican party. I also remember a time when they had honor and ideas beyond appealing to the lowest common denominator.

Ah no, it's always just my luck to get/ One perfect rose

Right now we need a strong rational left. Almost every single "conservative" figure in this country has shown their tolerance, even encouragement, of fascism.

      •  I do agree that we need time to build (0+ / 0-)

on our strength. But, I live in a one party state, Utah. I have seen what total power does, I know that it's Republican power, but let's not kid ourselves, we can get off the rails just as easily as they can. It's important that honest debate happens.

We need to right, (or left) the ship and they need to search their souls and find their way back to their principals. The unholy allience, better known as the Southern Strategy, is unraveling and they will be in the hole until they undo it.

Small government, fiscal conservatism, and small l libertarian ideals are at odds with religious fanaticism and racism. They need to understand that and then we can talk.

There still are two Americas. I live in the other one. John McSame wants me to stay there.
