  •  Yeah, 60 Dem Senate votes. (0+ / 0-)

So the corporate powers will be enriched and the American people will be told to wait.

Think it will be different?  Tell everyone here why.

    •  Dems won't have any excuses if they get to 60 (3+ / 0-)

They won't have a Repug filibuster to hide behind.  So, yes, I do think it would make a difference in whether they can still get away with caving to corporate powers that be.  ESPECIALLY since Obama rode into power largely on the ability to raise money from small donors.   He's the first winner they've had in a while, so the establishment Dems will have to be careful trying to pull the same old dodges.

These people are sharks.  With smiles.  And lipstick.

I'm sure they'll find some excuse though. The question is, will we let them get away with it?

        •  What did we do when they let us down the last two (2+ / 0-)

years?  Nothing.  What will we do if they don't do anything again?

I'll contribute to anyone who challenges Nancy Pelosi in 2010.  If she'd continued her vapid performance last summer at Netroots Nation a few minutes longer, I think she'd have been booed.  Al Gore's surprise appearance took everyone's mind off how she dodged polite questions about how little she'd done and why impeachment was 'off the table'.

We're all pretty strange one way or another; some of us just hide it better. "Normal" is a dryer setting.
