  •  I was so happy... (7+ / 0-) cast my early vote this year knowing that for once it really will mean having a great representative in Congress.  I think we have a real chance this year to make a big change in the CA Congressional delegation.  I'd love for our Congress to come back in session without Lungren, Bilbray, Dreier, and Bono.  Seeing McClintock go down will be oh so sweet.  We need to stamp out his brand of wingnuttery all across the country.  As Kos has said, "BREAK THEIR SPIRITS!"

I don't think we got the top tier challengers we wanted and the way the districts are drawn are pretty tough.  That said, I think the odious Brian Bilbray may go down this year.  If that internal poll is correct and he's only at 44%, he's in deep shit.  He is the incumbent, he was an incumbent for many years in the southern part of San Diego County, and he's not been heavily targeted.  But I have a feeling that CA-50 will vote against Propositions 4 and 8 and because those props are associated with the GOP, those coming out to vote against those and for Obama will vote for Leibham.  Also a lot of folks in that district are hurting as a result of the Wall Street Crisis and the Housing Foreclosure crisis.  Bilbray may go down....again (because really losing once isn't enough).
