Don't these people know the I-Bankers (what there are left of them), aren't going to be making bonuses this year? Even associates at posh New York law firms really can't afford a $7,000 fee like that. It makes me wonder, seriously, who the target is for this sort of thing apart from the mega-rich.

    Curiouser and curiouser.

It's guys like my nephew, age 24, hand-delivered to Columbia by his Dad (my brother), a corporate attorney who did everything but handstands to get his only boy into an elite law school.  Once there, nephew used his Dad's connections to get a fabulous summer internship at a major law firm in New York, earning (I am not kidding) $5,000 per week.  As an INTERN.

What's funny is that my brother is actually voting for Obama because he thinks McCain is a loser and Palin is a freak.  But my nephew?  Republican all the way, and if he gets wind of the Young Eagles I suspect he'll be a charter member.

Electing a Republican is like hiring a carpenter who thinks hammers are evil.

        of all that cash.

By the way, from what I know of summer associate programs, $5k sounds a bit high even for the best firms.

Daddy paid the tuition straight up.  It helps when you only have one kid and you're making $600K a year like my brother is.
