    A lot of people say "Yo Mama". I don't say it about African Americans as a means of mocking African Americans. The remark was racial or ethnic if you prefer and was mocking Obama.

    And like I keep saying: if it was the only  thing she ever said and it was in isolation it would be unremarkable. In context, it says a lot.

      I just saw a lot of unintelligible baffle gab about Joe the Plumber.

      From Palin, we've seen much, much worse (like her "He doesn't see America like you and I see it" thing.)

      what you mean about 'context', and I'm Black.
      I'm not seeing the racism here. To me, it's like the 'Hot mama for Obama, or Obama Mama' t-shirts. I don't see those as racist either.
      I think we have enough to work with here, in terms of actual racism, no need to overplay our hand.
