    ...doing a proper job for his client is doing his best to avoid an "impartial jury" by trying to select jurors that are likely to be biased in his client's favor.  Having tried to persuade a few juries, I can tell you that it's all too unusual to find them composed exclusively of "reasonable" people!

      I consider myself to be reasonable. If Norm Coleman got the most votes, I think he should be the senator. And if Al Franken got the most votes, HE should be senator.

      So far, so good, right?

      But now let's talk about Minnesota election law and voter-intent law.

      Minnesota statues

      There it is. It's fairly straight-forward, but I don't think you really want me to take a test on how well I understand it. Nor can I tell if you the law is constitutional or is consistent with Minnesota's constitution.

      That's why we require lawyers to be a member of the Board in the state where they are practicing. The reasonable person here is the judge.
