  •  We shouldn't be in this mess (10+ / 0-)

I am furious with Betty McCollum and Priscilla Lord Faris. They both sand bagged Al for political gain.
If Betty didn't like Al's humor she should have just endorsed someone else. She could have been a strong supporter of the other candidates, but she had to raise a stink right at convention time. And PLF. Who the hell is she? And how much did Norm pay her to try to primary AL. I have been to 2 state conventions and numerous party functions and I had never heard of her.
Reagan had the 11th commandment "never speak ill of a republican" My mom always said " if you can't say something nice about someone don't say anything at all."
These 2 so called Democrats put us in this situation, and I will hold a grudge

    •  Franken got about 365,000 fewer votes (0+ / 0-)

Than Obama.  That's almost the population of Minneapolis.

I seriously doubt this can be attributed to McCollum or Faris.

Remember the I35W bridge--who needs terrorists when there are Republicans

I talked to alot of people this election, either door knocking or phone banking and the biggest vibe I got was that Franken wasn't their first choice and the negative campaigning turned them off. That said, I feel that McCollum and Faris should have not added fuel to the firestorm that Norm and his buddies were unleashing. We didn't need the 300,000+ extra votes that Obama got but if we had gotten 10% we would be saving the MN taxpayer the cost of this recount.
