      difference in exit polling and regular polling. Exit polling has a big problem in that there is no way to get a clean sample. The people taking the poll ask if a voter will talk, but it is up to them to decide who to ask. The way the pollster looks affects who will and who won't talk to them as well.

      I was standing in cold rain, giving out literature for my Mom's State Rep campaign at a poll, when my cousin called with really early exit polling. She and I had a hard time believing what we were told, but we wanted to.

      So, you can trust polling, but ignore exit polling, it is worse than useless.
