  •  Musgrove's race (7+ / 0-)

I try to read things from other states, and nothing seems to compare with the slime the MS GOP throws at the Dems down here.  I'm not sure Wicker has put out one positive ad about anything that he's accomplished.

Female friend: "So, are YOU dating anyone?" Me: "No. I think the muscles scare them off." FF: "You need to date a Kennedy. Kennedys like muscles."

    •  Here is one thing I have noticed about Wicker.. (6+ / 0-)

I have no idea of where he stands on the issues, his vision and plans for the future.. But one thing he does is tell the voter what Musgrove will do and its false.

    •  The most recent RNC ad with the slideshow bit? (0+ / 0-)

I don't even GET some of the slime their sliming Musgrove with . . . He named a "Musgrove Day" as Governor? Called a state of emergency to buy office furniture?

I look at that ad and go WTF? Goopers are so far down their Wingnut Rabbit Holes that they're talking paranoid Esperanto . . .

    •  Turnout (0+ / 0-)

in early voting on the MS Coast has broken local records. Over 8,000 had cast "absentee" votes as of yesterday in Harrison County, in coastal MS. The lines were long down here early Saturday morning.

Laura Bush did a GOTV event Thursday for Wicker in Gulfport. Musgrove toured the gutted out downtown Gulfport area, highlighting the failure of recovery which is Wicker's main theme on ads about himself down here.

MS democrats are doing all we can to help the Senate get to 60.

    •  whats really ridiculous about the whole thing (0+ / 0-)

is that Musgrove and Wicker are really friendly in "real" life (outside of politics).  They roomed together in college and have kept in touch, and been civil to each other over the many years since.

That's just the way we play the game down here though, politics in MS is not so much a full contact sport as a Roman arena match.
