  •  My husband spent all day yesterday calling (14+ / 0-)

a lot in the more rural parts of northern Virginia.  He was pleasantly surprised at how many Obama supporters he found.  In fact, it was a little discouraging because the only undecided didn't want to talk, the Obama supporters were enthusiastic about voting and already knew everything about where to go, etc. (and some had voted already), and the McCain supporters were, well, McCain supporters.  So he didn't feel he had much effect.  But I figure at least a couple people he talked to out of the approx. 100 calls he made were more likely to vote because of his call.  Given how many Obama people have been making calls -- that could make the difference in Virginia.

If, in our efforts to win, we become as dishonest as our opponents on the right, we don't deserve to triumph.
