this little game of yours is both tiring and tangential.

it will be indeed a great evening when prop 8 is defeated and religious extremism, from whichever corner it may emerge, is trumped by sound, decent and civil citizens who do not believe we should maintain discrimination.

check out the site.  you've known about it for a while now.

and the best you can come up with to try to obfuscate the role of the LDS is to hide behind the fact that the LDS is hiding behind its members who have donated.

it's their screen name because they couldn't figure out how to spell "moran."

Who is trying to obfuscate the "role of the LDS"?  I just want to make sure the facts are clear.

If my distinction is without a difference to you, fine,  I acknowledge that for many people, they won't care.  But just because something doesn't matter to you doesn't mean it is right to lump the two together.  Many people will find that there is a difference between a group and its members.

As a Democrat I contribute to many causes.  If I contribute to a candidate because of an email I get from the National Party, does that mean the National party is contributing?  I don't think so.  You may.  That is fine, but lets try and not let the arguments get in the way of the facts.

      •  you really believe me naive to the LDS (0+ / 0-)

and how they have managed to interject themselves into the Prop 8 debate in california?

props to them for gaming the system so that the only fingerprints they "officially" left was on the $2000+ donation.

falling off tomato trucks is not something i do very often, especially not today.

If you look back at my prior posts, I acknowledge that LDS church members have contributed.  I also acknowledge that the LDS church has taken a direct stance on this issue, and encouraged its members to get involved through volunteering and contributions.

But I suppose if you don't get my point now, you are refusing to see it.

Its not supposed to be an argument, its supposed to be a discussion.  Or it should be anyway.
