  •  We blew it, but not a second time. (0+ / 0-)

We have to repeal this in 2010.  Period.  And we're going to have to fight, spend lots of money to get the message out, and never take our freedoms for granted again.  Because nothing good apparently comes without a fight.

    •  This can't just be a ballot fight (0+ / 0-)

What I mean is, this has to start w/ outreach between communities starting NOW so that when the ballot comes up, there will be support in those areas.  So not just mainstream advertising/programming that portrays LGTBQ families positively, but outreach from the community into the Hispanic and African-American communities so that when the measure comes up, there will be some bedrock of support there.  Also non-political LGBTQ people need to get their shit together and be political about this.  We can't be short-sighted about it.  The other side has more money, more man-power, and a pulpit.  So we need to be smarter than they are to win.

I have TOO MANY apathetic, apolitical gay friends.
