    This would be about the chairmanship in the 111th Congress, not the 110th. He'd still be voting on the stimulus as Chairman.

    And if he wants to filibuster an economic stimulus on a lame duck president's behalf, let him. We'll fix that shit in a couple weeks.

    Besides, passing a stimulus over Bush's actual objections (i.e., a veto) takes 67 votes, not 60.

    As for Stevens, that's a vote for the entire Senate to take -- and which will also require 67 votes. The vote on Lieberman is a private one within the Democratic caucus only.
