    The whole ad is a montage of images that have nothing to do with each other.

    The crowd reaction cutaways during Bush's speech are not from the convention. Remember that he did not speak from a podium but a stage in the middle of the arena. So no one was looking up at him as he spoke.

    I don't see anything wrong with this, really.

     The visuals of this ad are among the least egregious and least consequential of Bush's lies.

      But it's the easiest to understand, and it sets the tone and sows seeds of doubt.

      Like the 'they can't even show us real photos, what else did they lie about?' seed. Starts to color how you hear everything they say, see everything they do.

      You have to start somewhere.

      Remember, part of the reason most sane people don't believe rags like the National Enquirer and Weekly World News is because their photos are SOOOOO cheezy and obviously fake. When you don't believe the photos, you don't believe the stories either.
