  •  Baucus, or How I learned to love the Corporation (3+ / 0-)

That this is coming from cautious, conservative, DLCish Max Baucus does indeed mean, as Krugman says, that it's looking much more likely that we have universal health care enacted in the next year.

That it's coming from a DLCish Max Baucus probably means that it will have lots of goodies going to our wonderful friends in the for-profit health sector, because, you know, the Marketplace is the god we all must make offerings to.

That's the DLC view. And it will lead to ruin if DLC triangulation leads to an unworkable Frankinsurance monster that destroys our tax dollars and the desire for Universal Care in the name of preserving the "health marketplace".

Barack Obama is a noble-hearted patriot and humble Christian, and he has my full faith and support.

Harold Ford and the blue dogs are still singing the same tune, even as they're being beaten out fairly and unfairly because their strategies do. not. work. People don't care about compromising with the insurance companies any more than they care about compromising with the phone companies over FISA. We need to assert our rights and say F-you to corporations that are trying to keep us in a headlock.

      President-elect Barack Obama.
