    McCain added about 4000 to his lead in Alaska (which actually shrunk the margin from 26 points to 23 points).

    Berkowitz got about 1500 votes closer, but he still trails by a pretty solid margin. He needs to win out by a nearly 2-to-1 margin to make up the spread.

      The polls had Berkowitz up by a lot and had him over 50%.  A lot of House polls were off this year but polling a House district can be difficult because it might not reach enough voters and might miss some key areas.  In Alaska, a poll is including the whole state.  

      Of course I think any Jew has an uphill climb in Alaska.  That might be why he might very well lose this race.
