who were charged with defeating the amendment, frankly, fell flat on their faces.

So the rally day comes along last Saturday.  Who do you think wants to lead the "undo" campaign?  You guessed it, the same folks who spent over $4M on the losing campaign.

Crash the Gate?  Hell no, just give ME the fucking microphone!!!

That's me talking at the beginning of the clip and if you watch through the video, you can see me crossing the street at 3:10 from left to right in black shorts and a white t-shirt!

--and I know people who are active in Equality FL/Fairness for All Families who worked their asses off to get this thing defeated, so it honestly wasn't for lack of people on the ground trying.

Not to make excuses for anyone involved, but we Floridians have it even tougher than already-Dem-favoring CA for the simple reason that we progressives have been trying valiantly to turn FL blue, from dog catcher to state legislator to Presidential turnout.

This year, our efforts to swing FL in favor of Barack Obama winning the Presidency in this state--and also adding more down-ticket Dems to our red-soaked state and local government seats--may have overshadowed the Vote No on 2 fight. One bright light of hope is that openly-gay Democrat Kevin Beckner has unseated perennial hater and incumbent Republican Brian Blair on our county's commission.

We have to, and will, keep fighting.

The media image of a "center-right" U.S. is a myth and a joke.

        We've chatted before.

I don't want to start a war here, I am just stating a fact that a WHOLE BUNCH OF MONEY was spent on a losing campaign that only need 40% +1 votes to win.

The GLBT community was assured that these groups "had it covered".

I have many friends who worked on the campaign, also.

That the African American community was not targeted by the groups because "pollsters" told them it was a lost cause was a disaster.

Knowing the amount of African American turnout and Obama's stance on Amendment 2, all we needed to do was educate the community.  The groups that spent all the money didn't do that, they don't deserve any more money.

It's time to Take on the System!
