    between importing primarily unskilled contract labor to a thinly-settled continent with more work to be done than there were hands to do it, and importing skilled workers when there are willing & able techies already here as a means of reducing salaries & increasing owner profit.

      It's infinitely worse than a practice that was accepted initially, but then outlawed at an much earlier time in our country's history. I think that, if people became aware of the enormity of the crime that is being legally perpetrated upon the unsuspecting STEM workers in the US today, they would immediately demand change by raising their voices against it. People who read this need to post their responses to legal discrimination. Obama can be reached using the form at change.gov. After that, they can take further action by getting on the phone to their representation in Congress.

      If we got Bush and the Republicans out of the White House, and increasingly out of Congress in the last election, we can do this.
