    that affirm my annual donation to the ACLU, the organization that advocates for the rights of everyone in this country, whether I agree with their advocacy or not.

    At its core, that is what American democracy stands for -- equality of each and everyone of us before the law.

    Heterosexual parents are not more equal than homosexual parents.

    On the face of it, contending otherwise is patently ridiculous.  After all, nothing can stop homosexual couples from having children, so why should the state think it has the right to prevent them from adopting them?  Silly, isn't it?

    They burn our children in their wars and grow rich beyond the dreams of avarice.
