I don't doubt there are much more extreme voices here who expected to have zero Republicans, zero supporters of the Iraq war... (not that what they're asking for is unreasonable, but it is unrealistic.) But honestly, they have so little voice here.

Really, people are a little fed up that the cabinet has zero card-carrying progressives. Where's somebody who was smart enough to oppose the Iraq war around the defense department? Where's someone who was smart enough to foresee the recession around our economic leadership? In most cases, we have blue dog or "New Democrats" living in Reagan's shadow.

I can live with Tom Daschle on health care because at least it's one thing he's really progressive on. I can even live with Hillary Clinton, the one who made huge contrasts with Obama on foreign policy, as our Secretary of State. (In fact, I kind of like it.)

This isn't about any single pick. It's the whole cabinet package.

Anyone who is saying that Obama has sold out is, at best, being premature. Let alone being excessive. But this is a pretty big warning sign, if you ask me. Why aren't we all unified that "okay, something is missing here"? Not "the sky is falling". Just "okay, we need to put our guard up."

let's get to 60 in the senate!
