How many times have I read in these diaries people who have second guessed Barack Obama and in the end they always seem to regret to have failed to have confidence in his judgement.

I saw it through the primaries and then with his campaign against John Mccain.

Please ask yourself, what have the results been so far!! Victory against Hilary Clinton and a LANDSLIDE victory against John Mccain....inspite of all.

BARACK OBAMA knows what he's doing, he did in the past and he does now...I am confident in his judgement and obviously you were too ....Allow him to complete the huge tasks before him and as usual he will produce the successful results which we  have experienced and ENJOYED!

    •  I guessed that he would be a centrist (0+ / 0-)

candidate and nominate a cabinet that looked exactly like Clinton's and that we would end up with hawks in Defense and Foreign policy and de-regulators on the Economic team...

I sure as hell don't regret those guesses now...

    •  Did we just elect Barack Obama... (3+ / 0-)

to the Presidency or are we going to have a coronation on January 20, 2009?  We do not question his judgement by providing him with our advice.  That is our role as citizens in a free nation.  Please don't forget that the powers he will assume on Inauguration Day derive from our consent.  If we are to consent to those powers, we have a right and also an obligation to provide him with our best advice.  Why would you wish to deny him that which is rightfully his?

Sometimes you're the bug; sometimes, the windshield. You'll know which if the last thing that goes through your mind is your ass.

Now that the election is over and we have more democrats, we need to make sure they are and remain better democrats. We need to push Obama in a more progressive direction because, lord knows there are lots of more powerful, monied and accessed pressure on the Obama adminstration to go right.

I am a liberal and lefty and progressive first, and support that agenda and those policies first.

I am a Democrat second, only because we are stuck with the reality of two party system.

I for one will continue to exert any pressure that I can. I will not be quiet. What value is there to be quiet? Silence is a good way to be ignored.

If not us, then who will stand up for a progressive agenda?
