  •  If Dems and Obama don't deliver (0+ / 0-)

on real, universal health care by the midterm elections, they will lose control of Congress in the midterms.  Take it to the bank.

The talk of incrementalism shows many of those Dem leaders haven't figured this out yet. When it comes to health care reform, they're addicted to PR stunts that look good in the news media and keep their corporate donors happy and that's a tough addiction to break. Its such an insult to the few Dems who've worked so hard for real, meaningful reform.

We have to accept these people are good at getting elected, but many are not the sharpest tools in the shed. If they pass SCHIP after Obama is sworn in, it may be great for children but will be an ominous sign for Dems the midterms, to say nothing about the disastrous affect on the growing numbers of uninsured adults.

I'm not going to be an enabler of Dem's addiction to poor health care policy.  Patting them on the back for passing SCHIP and postponing real reform is like giving an alcoholic another drink.
