  •  Morning Joe had interesting comments (3+ / 0-)

about Obama's no-show in GA (from  Chuck Todd, not that boorish fool Scarborough).

     1. Obmama is now being Presidential, facing crises, etc., and not stooping to party politics.

     2. Especially since (according to Todd's sources in Obama team, he said) they don't think Martin has much of a chance. If he did, it might be different about Obama coming down.

     3. Too bad for Dems, Martin was about "17th choice"
(nothing against him, Todd  said).  If Max Cleland had been running, he would already be in Washington.
    Oh, well.

In 18 re-matches, the original person elected was elected again.  The Senate exception was Shaheen in NH.  And then there were the netroot stars Kissel and Massa.

that Cleland "lost" to Chambliss in 02?

      •  "lost" meaning cyber-theft? (0+ / 0-)

Yeah, but those things don't seem so prevalent any more (e.g., Ohio).
        50 State Strategy, I guess.
Of course from comments above, Georgia is still part of another country.
AS of 7:00 eastern, NPR, I think, said Af-Amer. vote has been only 23% of total reg., while white male vote is 36%.
So they great patriots of Georgia are reelecting the draft-dodger, with a little help from Sarah P.

        Assholes. I hate them.
