As many have mentioned, the three most powerful contributions that Markos created with this site are: a community, optimism, confidence and a clear sense of the goal in sight. Four! Four most powerful contributions that Markos created with this site are: a community, optimism, confidence, a clear sense of the goal in sight, and a dedication to the truth. Five! The Five most powerful contributions that Markos created with this site...

Thanks, Markos. And thanks to all of the amazing community of bloggers, commentators, and various perumtations of the same who have kept me informed, sane and positive through this trying time. The reason this country is going to finally leave this nightmare of pseudo-fascism is, in large part, because of the parts you have played to counter a failed press. Thank you. Thank you all.

This seems like the perfect place to make my first Daily Kos posting. I may not be American but I have been obsessing over this election, because it is so important for the whole world and the right choice seems so obvious. Who do we want to be the most powerful person on the planet: this intelligent, inspiring, internationalist statesman, or this stupid, warmongering, lying, corrupt bigot?

Thank you, Kos, for giving me the chance to see what the many Americans who are fighting for the right choice are feeling, and what it's like being there as the good fight goes on. I enjoy your Guardian column too, and I wasn't dumb enough to write to any Ohio voters; but joining in with the freeping of Yahoo! and the polls has given me the chance to feel as if I'm helping in some small way.

And the very best of luck to everyone who's helping to GOTV. You guys see off Chimpy, and we'll get to work on Blair next year.
