Just heard this today, so I'll tack it onto another breaking story.

Jeb Bush is going to run for Florida's Senate seat. Martinez is a loyal Bushie. Obviously, he has agreed to step aside for Jeb.

The Bush Crime Family needs Jeb to win the Senate seat and win the presidency in 2012. Why? It's the only way to keep W's records sealed. W extended the sealing of his father's records as soon as he got into office. Illegally, I might add.

The gangsters and racketeers who have hitched their wagons to the Bush mafia need Obama to be a one-term president. I wouldn't be surprised to learn they are planning to assassinate him.

Any doubts about whether prosecutions need to go forward for war crimes, racketeering, treason, etc should be laid to rest. The only missing element? How do we get the public behind it?

Which scandal can be used as a platform to unravel all of it? Torture and secret prisons might be a good start. The Office of Special Plans scandal? (you know: How to fool a country into starting a war.) Firing Us Attorneys as a part of a broader plan to institute permanant one-party rule? Or, how about treasonous plans to compromise nuclear non-proliferation? Lots of material there. Secretly transferring nuclear secrets to the black market. Outing the spy who is monitoring the nuiclear black market. Selling nuclear secrets to rogue military officers in Iran to create a cassis belli. How about conspiring to import terrorists into the country? How about arming and funding al-queda in Lebanon? How about funneling arms and cash to Bin Laden by making arms and cash "disappear" in Iraq?

Get any one of them started, and they'll lead to the others. Billions in inflated, no-bid contracts to war profiteers like the Carlyle Group or Halliburton or Blackwater? Weakening the military by outsourcing crucial military functions to corporate paramilitary organizations? Using corporate contractors for illegal activities to hide those activities from Congressional oversight? Compromising national security to grease a multinational nuclear energy deal?

We can keep this train rolling for years.

Now do you see why they need Jeb?

      1.  It won't happen.

      •  They're comparing Obama to Hitler (0+ / 0-)

They started doing this during the election campaign.

The problems being faced today can't be solved by changing the party in charge of the presidency. The problems are deeper than that. We have a full-fledged fascist movement among the corporate leadership, and they aren't going to be restrained from acting by government regulation.

We need to overhaul the whole corporate system and sweep a lot of people from power within that system. Can't be done by the federal government. However, the feds realize that something has to be done. If they continue to try first this and then that while things continue to worsen, and nothing else happens, we'll get Jeb Bush as the next president.

There is a different, constitutional way to overhaul the corporate system. It's state-based and relies upon the authority of the state attorneys general, acting collectively, to review corporate charters and reform the corporate system with a national effort.

      •  Indeed. It's a matter of expectations. (0+ / 0-)

Look at the polls of people's expectations of the short term future, their feelings about the country now, and the faith they're putting in the President-Elect.

If the United States is still around and solvent in 2012, Obama will have beat the expectations of many Americans. If he's done even a half-way good job (and I think he'll do an excellent one) he'll have an LBJ-style landslide.

Jeb versus Obama? I don't think the Republicans would even win Florida.
