    It is the longest day of the year and that is based on the relative positions of the Earth and the Sun.

    However, I don't think the sign was as offensive as some seem to think it is. I've seen far worse religious public displays. Frankly, I think seeing a realistic bleeding, tormented Jesus nailed to a cross is pretty offensive.

      As for your second part, I agree. Why is it ok for fundies to drive trucks around with enlarged pictures of aborted fetuses, and yet this small placard is problematic? I'd rather my grandson saw the atheist sign than the fetusmobile.
