  •  Borg underwear: very nice. (10+ / 0-)

I just checked the web site, and I thought they have some very nice products.  They look well-made.  Which is typical for the Swedes.

    Bjorn Borg - a rematch?
I for one am glad to see him succeed again.  He's been in trouble for quite a while now; a string of unsuccessful business ventures (bad partners) and a string of unhappy marriages (bad partners, again).  Swedish magazines like Året Runt took turns bashing him over the head over his "failures" on an on. His disastrous marriage to that Italian Singer; "Lorna?" it just went on and on.

By and large, Bjorn Borg is a typical Swede.  He was in the unfortunate position of being in the limelight for too long as a teenager/young man.  He never really got the chance to grow up.
I'm glad to see things are working out for him.
I loved the article they wrote about him a few years ago, when he was living on an island in the Skärgården, he took a small putt-putt boat into work, downtown (Stockholm).  That was pretty cool.

    Swedes as innovators.
The Swedes are the ultimate in creativity and cool innovations.  Look no further than IKEA, or Hanna Andersson.  Interestingly, the Swedes hold more patents or applications for patents than any other country in the world.

    Inget fusk, med svenskarna.

She was interviewed on TV recently, and she's still extremely pissed off and bitter about Borg and the way things went. She said they've never even divorced, and she's still officially married to him. She filed a complaint against him for bigamy some years back, after he married someone else. She says he ruined her career-wise and financially, didn't let her have children and start a family (making her lose that opportunity too), was under the oppressive influence of his mother (who only wanted him to play tennis -- until he ended up discovering women, drugs, sex and brothels), and left her without a cent when they separated, never paying the alimony he was supposed to.

She's really wacky nowadays, but probably most of what she says has a basis of truth to it.
