Gary Kubiuk myself.  Go for the guy wtih the clipboard - he's bound to be less punch-drunk and more intelligent.

A foolish consistency (staying the course in Iraq) is the hobgoblin of George W. Bush.

      Kubiak, not Kubiuk.

    •  Yea (0+ / 0-)

he really turned around the Houston franchise.

Just like Herm Edwards with my beloved Chiefs.

JAKE PLUMMER!!  And only if he grows the beard out more.

    •  He's a Texas Aggie.... (0+ / 0-)

...and coach of the Houston Texans.  If he ran in Colorado he would be carrying Elway's clipboard, if you know what I mean.

      •  I'm a Texas Aggie (0+ / 0-)

and I campaigned/block-walked for my fellow Texas Aggie Chet Edwards who represents Texas A&M and the rest of the 17th district.  Had the good fortune to grow up very near San Antonio, who elected the first Latino mayor of a major city in 1981, an Aggie by the name of Henry Cisneros.  Garry Mauro (another Aggie) was the chair of Clinton's '92 Texas campaign and also chaired the '96 re-election campaign.  Texas Aggie John Sharp started the Texas Tomorrow Fund, which allowed parents to enroll their kids in a program so they could pre-pay college tuition at today's rates and started the Lone Star card, which took the food stamp program and shifted it to a debit card style system which helped cut down on fraud and costs.

but no, you're right.  all Aggies are GOP asshats.

        •  Now hold on there..... (0+ / 0-)

...my intent was to point out that Kubiak, being a Texas native, might be seen as a carpetbagger if he ran in Colorado.  Even if he wasn't, most people knew him as the guy who carried the clipboard on the bench while Elway played.  I made no reference to the political preferences of Texas A&M students that I could see.
