    (which I now have on 'ignore') - mainly what they'd do was bring up how "bad" our Canadian system is supposed to be. I think they talk about Canada because we're so close (and "socialist") that they figure Americans can visualize better than some country across the ocean.

    I'd always hear that they "knew someone" who had a horrible experience, whether due to wait times, lack of physician skill, bringing up Canadians using the U.S. system instead of our own, etc.

    Probably because I take it for granted, I don't know much about the nuts and bolts of my own system. I just know there are no instances that pop into my head of either my own bad experiences, or any friends/family. Nothing memorable comes up. And I do know that, contrary to what these radio folks say, I wouldn't trade systems for anything.
