Not me, Deaniac. Not me. Damn, you brought tears to my eyes.

This generation is not one of apathy. I'm only 16, but I've done all that is physically possible to ensure that Kerry wins this election. I've played my part, because I know the stakes I have in whoever wins. I live in a poor family, so every time an issue is brought up that does not affect the majority of people, I feel it connect. I'm ready for this election, and I have a great feeling. I can almost feel it in the air; the atmosphere is changing.

I've done my part, and if a 16 year old who cant vote cares enough to call hundreds of Ohio voters and work to get people registered, I damn well know that thousands who CAN vote can do so as well.

Grassroots organization. The rise of the internet. The new generation.

Get ready, because it's the end of the world as we know it... and I feel fine ;).

I felt it shift, hum, 6 days ago and have been irrationally optimistic since then.

        your part of the world.

I once, just at the end of clinton's presidency, had a class tell me they wanted someone else to do their thinking for them because it was too much work.

After that I never again gave them a writing assignment topic ever.  Dammit, they would think in my class if I had to beat them with sticks.  They are all junions now, incidentally.

except the one in jail... but we won't talk about that.

Just another sheeple wondering what the flock everyone else is doing.

    •  It took me a while to understand your reply... (none)
My sig line is a bit corny.  My post brought "tears to your eyes?"  Um...thanks!  By the way, I dressed as a Deaniac for our Halloween thing at school Friday.  Put on my old Dean shirt and my Dean for Halloween button.  I wasn't thinking, because I was going to go work at Martin Frost's office later Friday, and because I was supposed to be a poll greeter for the last day of early voting, I had to go home and change first, so showed up about fifteen-twenty minutes late.
