    regulate what people inhale, ingest, inject or excrete, decriminalizing the sale, distribution, or use of alternative drugs is not the solution.  
    Since nobody's perfect, the pattern will continue to be deployed as long as those who rely on it can get away with it.  And they will continue to get away with it, as long as secrecy is given an official rationale.

    Sunlight is what's wanted.  And probably an amnesty provision to encourage those who have been harnessed by guilt to come forward and confess.

    Secrecy itself is corrosive.  As soon as someone agrees to keep information secret (like our famous Gang of Eight, whose longest serving member is now Nancy Pelosi), that person is in an untenable position--wrong if she keeps silent; wrong if she blabs.

    How do you tell a predator from a protector? The predator will eat you sooner rather than later.
