and the whole administration, I can't really see making much out of this other than the giggle factor. This isn't like the Boston woman who actually hired and harbored the illegals. From the sound of this, Chertoff hired a company who supplied different people from time to time, and he was kind of out of it.

Two things do bother me about it, though: First is that Chertoff apparently never investigated the company or did so sloppily. But of more concern is that the Secret Service missed the boat on this one - well, let me reserve some judgment here, since it's not clear that the Secret Service considers an illegal alien per se to be a threat. But I would like to be reassured that they knew about their immigration status, not that they missed it - because, after all, they use the same procedures or variations on them for guarding Obama.

It is not the business of the state to help its citizens get into heaven, nor to save them from hell.

Just what we need running "Homeland Security".  "kind of out of it".

At least in another month he'll have to get his bailout check second hand, instead of straight from the government.  Maybe he can run security at the new Bush estate in Texas . . .

agents from a foreign government or [horrors] Al-Fraido or something.

It smacks of a gross lack in security, for one. One has to wonder what the hell where these workers could likely to come across in their 'cleaning' ..
