  •  Too bad Ford is shutting down in St. Paul (5+ / 0-)
    Ford has been a major employer in St. Paul since at least the 1920's, but is in the process of shutting down.  There have been attempts to save the plant, which produces Ford's smaller pickup trucks.  Although Ford isn't asking for this bailout, I believe its financial health depends on GM and Chrysler staying alive.  So Norm is voting to hurt his own hometown and state.  Typical.

      Not arguing.  Just asking for your thoughts.

      What comes to mind immediately is that the car companies take in each other's washing.  

      If Chrysler were to vanish, is it not possible the other two would be stronger?

      Again, just asking.
