    But it won't be long and there will be a market for a business plan whereby in certain parts of the country, you can contract with a solar electric company.  They will come to your house, put the system on your house, handle all the maintanence and you get a monthly bill that is equal to or just slightly more than your old monthly bill from the utility.  This system would be grid tied but would include a UPS system.  

    This model is particularly viable for commercial roof space but eventually as costs are driven down, it will make its way into residential services.

      promoting this model, basically "renting" a PV system.  They are trying to get commitments from people up front, so as to generate enough volume to mass-produce the system components and reduce price.

      I love the idea, but have some doubts about the viability of the business model, given the prices I was quoted.  I don't know whether they've actually started production/installation.  The website is: Citizenre
