  •  So.. (0+ / 0-)

So the crux of what you are saying is that Franken has 487 'additional challenges', that we are not fully aware of, Coleman has Zero such additional challenges?

If so - one would imagine that such challenges has less merit than his core challenges.

    •  no, not exactly (0+ / 0-)

Franken has wiithdrawn 2878 challenges, these represent both Coleman votes and others and are not reflected in the running totals as published.

Coleman has withdrawn 2391 challenges, these represent both Franken votes and others and are not reflected in the running totals as published.

So there will be 487 more Coleman/other votes than Franken other ballots that are not counted in the current running totals as published.

They're not extra or new...they just represent the additional challenges, now withdrawn, that Franken originally made and are not counted in these running totals.

FWIW, Coleman is challenging "others" at about 2/3's the rate of Franken, so that 80  vote margin is optimistic.  And FWIW Coleman is on something of a run of successes here, so I imagine is success  rate will not be so dismal.

There is a ways to go before we even get to absentee and legal challenges.
