    quid-pro-quo and let the LT Governor have an exclusive on her show for 2 weeks straight and use it to raise money...and she has to hire the LT Governor's wife for $300K per year for some no-show job...

        Count me among the people who would rather see Oprah get an appointment to the Senate than Caroline Kennedy. It's just a lifetime of hard work vs. being a legacy.

        I'm sure CK is a lovely person, or at least a tolerable one, but her credentials are kind of average, and she wouldn't even be considered for the job if she wasn't a Kennedy. In fact, had she changed her name to Schlossberg when she got married, I doubt she would be considered.

        Oprah, on the other hand, is a self-made woman. Yes, in many respects they would both be capitalizing on their famous names to catapult them into office, but Oprah made her name famous herself. Kennedy inherited a name someone else made famous.
