if the fucking suits would just STFU and get the fuck out of the way.
For every engineer or tech geek slaving away in a lab or a shop, there are 100 suits counting beans, parsing words and living off the efforts of the folks who actually build things.

Remember the 1990s?  Americans made a good living.  We were allowed to be creative.  We were rewarded for it.

Bush and the republicans came in and it all changed.  It gets to me that these "leaders" are so quick to demonize the American worker. I don't care if its a factory worker, engineer, teacher, nurse, policeman, etc. They say we are lazy, unproductive, greedy.  The people I know do whatever it takes to get the job done.  We are ingenious.  We problem solve.  We are a can do group.

We have had "cheap labor" conservatives running things.  You can see it with them bailing out Wall street, but when it comes to the average person?  The person who actually creates the wealth through manufacturing goods or providing services.  Forget about it!

We are seeing the fruits of this.  As Lincoln said, labor precedes capital.  These people flip flopped this and now the economy is tanking.

... that was the last time we were allowed to be all those things and have an energy policy too. Then it got steamrollered by the dogwhistle racist politics of Reagan and the Conservative Movement, willing to sell their souls to the devil in return for the freedom to start rolling back the New Deal.
