    Ship rammed

Well, they have journalists on board, so this seems a good firsthand account.

    •  Well that definitely corroborates the ramming (1+ / 0-)

part... but I think that yet again no mention of either gunfire or injuries shows that the initial source has a lot of facts simply wrong.

wasn't this a pointlessly stupid PR move on the Israeli military's part?  It makes an publicity stunt (at worst) or a humanitarian move (most optimistic take) that would have been essentially a non-story, into a PR victory for the actors.

        •  Don't take a pleasure craft into a war zone (0+ / 0-)

The Israeli Navy stopped a civilian boat from wandering into a war zone.  If they had not done so, and the ship took any fire (while trying to run a blockade, then the world would have blamed the Israelis anyway.

Any ship, trying to run a blockade should expect that an attempt will be made to stop it.

In this case, the supplies were not needed, and the boat was only there to cause trouble.
