    Every popular vote for Kerry piles moral authority and mandate on top of his electoral-college win.  So those votes do count for more than principle alone.  A higher popular win translates into an easier job for Kerry to push his agenda through.  And it's a heck of a lot better than a popular loss with an electoral win, regardless of what Bushites might try to tell us about that.

      you're right.  Even though it won't translate into electors, it will help build Kerry's margin in the popular vote.  I love Alaska, but sometimes I have of no idea what people up here use for brains.
