If and WHEN he's indited, what else are you going to lean on?

    •  Even if he is indicted, nothing in the tapes is (0+ / 0-)

probative of whether or not his appointment of Burris was wrongful.  An allegation of wrongful behavior in the past in not evidence of wrongful behavior in this particular appointment.  Otherwise, just let the witchhunt begin.

      •  but you can't take for granted that there is no.. (0+ / 0-)

        ..bad behavior.

        Once bitten, twice shy.

It still needs (at the very least) to be looked at to erase the spector of impropriety.

        •  "You can't take for granted that there is (0+ / 0-)

no bad behavior".  Well I guess that means the Senate should investigate every appointment before they seat an appointed Senator, to make sure it is "looked at" so there is no "spector of impropriety".  Like appointing a seat warmer so the VP's son can have an easy race in two years.  I guess that's "good behavior".

          •  okay you're using circular reasoning now. (0+ / 0-)

If EVERY governor who is making a senate appointment had been caught on tape trying to sell that appointment then YES, they should be investigated.

You find me another instance of another governor with the above description and I'll say the same thing about THEIR appointment.

Just because Blago happens to be a democrat doesn't make him one of the "good guys".  We shouldn't be defending people JUST because they have a D next to their name.  That is what got the republicans into trouble.

There just isn't a shred of evidence that his appointment of Burris was wrongful.  It matters not that the US attorney thinks he tried to "sell" the seat.  If he didn't sell it to Burris, Burris should be allowed to take office.  And nobody is saying that he sold it to Burris.

    •  well..the indictment to start.... (0+ / 0-)

Need Support Barack? Give Joe Lieberman and Rick Warren a call. Maybe they can help you.
