    Please read the last sentence of my previous reply...

    I agree Burris's claim to the seat is legitimate, and he should be seated under the laws of the land and the rules of the Senate.

    But that doesn't mean I let my brain go to mush and say that Burris is a great choice or that said choice is untainted by scandal.  Burris's change of heart over Blago after the appointment is on its own enough to call the whole thing into question.

    Seat him, and if the USA's office can connect him to the scandal, remove him promptly during the regular Senate session.
