    but I am not buying that if Obama wanted Dean and Dean wanted the job, then Obama lets Rahm kill it.

    That would be very disapointing if Obama is letting Rahm run the show.

      a lot of us are going to be painfully disabused of some of the more silly and unfounded myths about Obama. He's human, just like the rest of us, and has his weaknesses and foibles, just like the rest of us. One of which, I think, is his discomfort in being around and working with people who don't see eye to eye with him on matters of importance to him and who have strongly independant personalities that can't easily be controlled. E.g. Clark, Power, Wright, Dean. It's a problem, one that he's going to have to get over eventually if he expects to govern well. That "Team of Rivals" includes him, too.

      Obama might be a brilliant politician who means well. But he's also vain and petulant. He needs to get over that, fast, and learn to deal with strong and principled opposition.
